Recently, there have been more revelations about the death of Lance Reddick, the famous actor from the movie John Wick. It has been nearly three weeks since his unexpected passing. More details about his cause of death have now surfaced. He died due to heart disease, as per his death certificate, which was released after his demise. The certificate cited the immediate cause of death as ischemic heart disease, along with atherosclerotic coronary artery disease.
Previously, Reddick’s representative had informed OSH that he passed away from natural causes at his Studio City, California residence on March 17th. Sadly, this was just a week before the release of John Wick: Chapter 4, in which he played a role. Prior to the premiere, the actor had spoken with us and shared his thoughts about the action franchise.
He said, “I couldn’t believe that it was bigger than the last one. I don’t know how you can have more action and better action, but we do. Also, the emotional stakes have been raised I feel for the characters more than any other franchise.”
Apart from John Wick, Reddick had also worked on several other projects such as the spinoff Ballerina and the remake of White Men Can’t Jump, both set for release in the near future. Additionally, he acted in the biopic Shirley, based on the life of Shirley Chisholm.
Many individuals, including his co-star Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski, paid tribute to Reddick’s legacy after his passing. They expressed their profound sadness and sorrow in a statement, in which they stated that he was a consummate professional and a joy to work with. They also dedicated the movie to his memory and offered their condolences to his family and friends.
